We are a family transportation infrastructure company that has been serving the community of Vancouver for over 30 years. We are currently hiring employees for our operations on the North Shore. We are looking for someone who is a motivated team player and an enthusiastic individual. There is room for growth, taking on various other tasks and working with a dynamic group

The position is a fulltime opportunity and includes excellent benefits and a matching pension plan. Training will be provided for safety, quality and other company required programs.

Duties include a variety of highway maintenance activities including:

- Preparing and operating light and heavy maintenance equipment such as patrol trucks, loaders, plows, spreaders, tractors, etc.
- Undertaking any and all job duties assigned and pertaining to the operations of Miller Capilano Highway Services including and not limited to jack hammer operation, compaction equipment operation, snow shoveling and others.
- Completing all required paperwork including driver inspection documents, Vehicle safety checks, timesheets, reports and other operational documents, as required.
- Performing required preventative and routine equipment maintenance, which includes but is not limited to, cleaning/washing the interior and exterior of equipment, changing plow blades, minor equipment repairs, greasing equipment and refueling equipment after use.
- A good knowledge of and follow Miller Capilano’s safety program, rules and policies.
- Understanding of the importance of good public and employee relations.
- Following instructions intelligently, accurately and promptly.
- Traffic control and management duties as required by the MoT Traffic Management manual.

**Requirements**:

- Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with Air Endorsement and a positive safe driving record.
- Grade 12 education.
- Experience in highway maintenance and/or road building/utility construction
- Helpful, friendly, courteous with the public, regulatory agencies and peers.
- Able to work shift work as this role involves night shift work.
