We are an Automotive Supplier looking for a Materials Planning and Logistics Manager.
- Must have experience working with customers
- Planning and scheduling in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Shipping and offshore experience
- Logistics experience
- Steel manufacturing a huge plus

Responsible to oversee Production & MRO materials; Production & Die Build facility and Global shipping, receiving and logistics
- Leads & manages all aspects of supply chain from RFQ to receipt of goods
- Manages the procurement process for materials, goods, supplies & services
- Works closely with Production, Product Development, Tooling and Quality groups to ensure Company needs are reflected in the contracts and products sourced as well as ongoing Supplier relations
- Works closely with Finance and Operations to ensure that purchase orders and agreements are incorporated into Standard Costing and the Bill of Material process
- Responsible for developing and managing the cost reduction programs of the supply base

MATERIALS
- Manage and co-ordinate Department activities including: shipping, receiving, inventory control, scheduling, purchasing, container management and logistics
- Develops capacity plans and reviews utilization, makes recommendations
- First Line Management Customer/Emergency contact for part supply and other Customer needs
- Participates in the development and execution, and if required, communication of any corrective action requests
- Develops, plans and acts upon continuous improvement initiatives with the Materials department and provides specific direction to all staff to ensure success in completion of the established objectives

OTHER
- Responsible for scrap steel recovery system
- Responsible for supplier performance reporting as well as KPI’s for Materials and Purchasing and BOM Routing
- Attend APQP meetings as related to Purchasing and Materials responsibilities
- Responsible for packaging instructions
- Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the TS 16949 Quality System Standard
- Follows Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook
- Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety, 5S and Housekeeping guidelines and rules;
- Reports all unsafe & unhealthy conditions to Management or a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Performs other tasks as required

**MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ PREREQUISITES**
- University or Business Degree and/or Community College graduate or equivalency in education & experience
- Minimum 5 years Management experience in buying/purchasing/materials planning
- Automotive experience is required

**PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE**
- CPP designation an asset
- CPIM designation an asset

Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
