**SUMMARY**

This position manages the Credit Union Deposit Insurance Corporation of BC (“CUDIC”) deposit insurance fund investment policy and performance, and the fund manager’s performance.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Leads the development and maintenance of the CUDIC deposit insurance fund investment policies, procedures, and processes to manage portfolio risk.
- Manages the performance analysis of the CUDIC deposit insurance fund and the fund investment manager.
- Manages the development of fund reporting material and related research for executives and the CUDIC Board of Directors.
- Contributes to the CUDIC deposit insurance fund financial reporting and audit process and maintains related internal control policies and procedures.
- Determines the optimal fund targets and fund size based on market and risk assessments of the BC credit union segment.
- Manages the research and monitoring of macro credit union segment risk indicators that may impact the CUDIC deposit insurance fund.
- Contributes to contingency planning, including funding and resolution, relating to deposit insurance payouts.
- Working in a matrix operational environment, in support of policies/procedures, the payout program, and internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of operational plans and reporting to support reliable program accountability, organizational core values and mandate.
- Contributes to the development of operational policies and procedures, performance standards and service levels with the goal of continuous improvement.
- Develops and maintains constructive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders including government, credit unions, related associations, and deposit insurance peers.
- Provides performance management, coaching, and mentorship to allow team members to achieve their full potential.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics with eight or more years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of the methods and procedures involved in the development and management of deposit protection programs.
- Knowledge of fund investment management methodologies.
- Knowledge of financial analysis techniques and business operational procedures.
- Ability to exercise judgement, initiative, and discretion.
- Ability to influence stakeholders to comply with legislation regulations and policies.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of risk management principles and methods.
