**Job description**

**We are currently recruiting for the position of Janitor for 2 locations in Truro NS.**

**General Description**: A janitor is generally responsible for the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.

**Location**:Truro NS

**Schedule: Weekdays evenings and weekends.**

**A Criminal Background Check is a requirement for this position.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Clean floors (mopping, sweeping)
- Daily cleaning of washrooms, offices, lockers rooms and lunchrooms
- Empties and cleans garbage cans
- Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches, and doors
- Restocks single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
- Dusts and damp wipes office equipment
- Additional duties may be required from time to time.

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
