IT Specialist

**The Opportunity**

**Key Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)**:

- On-boarding and off-boarding staff with assistance from the external IT provider
- Asset management in Point Grey and Kelowna to ensure that equipment is adequately resourced, maintained and disposed of (if applicable)
- Ensuring system and staff software updates are routinely completed
- AV support for in-house Boardrooms and may be required to assist with meeting set up (e.g. UBCPT Board meetings)
- Manages company licenses (Zoom, Adobe etc.)
- Manages user account management / permissions (including password resets etc.)
- Provides training (or support) to staff on IT-related issues
- Assists in the drafting and revision of IT-related internal policies
- May be required to complete specific IT projects, as required
- May be required to provide analysis and reporting for Executive decision-making

**Competencies and Qualifications**
- Formal education: BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or related field
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced in both Microsoft and Mac OS environments
- Must be knowledgeable and experienced in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, relationship building, customer service and complaint management
- Good understanding of other devices (mobile phones, printers etc.) and all hardware/software
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of automation products, data bases and remote control
- Risk analysis experience is an asset
- Knowledge of Yardi and Dynamics software is an asset
