Acheson, Canada SMS Equipment Inc. Full time

At **SMS Equipment, **our **Service Operations Assistant** is responsible for providing administrative support services as they relate to parts and service work orders. The **Service Operations Assistant **will enter payroll data and reconciliation, reception duties and opening, maintaining, and closing work orders. This position is based in **Acheson, AB.**

The salary range for this position is **$50,000 -$55,000.**

**Responsibilities include but are not limited too**:

- Enter, code, and track all time for non-union hourly employees, regular and overtime.
- Respond to inquiries from and communicating with management, employees, human resources, payroll service providers and government departments.
- Check timecards against shift reports and complete data check sheet.
- Track all hourly overtime hours and reports posted for viewing.
- Monthly, quarterly and year end reporting responsibilities.
- Provide a warm and welcoming presence for guests and employees entering the building.
- Ensure site compliance and appropriate guest sign ins are completed.
- Utilize information from Concur, create OPOs for applicable customer charge expenses.
- Manage and maintain stock of office supplies for building.
- Distribute and sort business correspondence to correct persons or departments.
- Answer routine customer, vendor, and employee queries or concerns.
- Enter invoices into Ariba-SAP.
- Complete account reconciliations.
- Complete monthly reporting.
- Monthly JSOX compliance reporting.
- Assist with opening, maintaining & closing Work Orders as required.
- Position Cross-training, to accommodate inter-departmental vacation or absent time coverage.
- Other administrative duties, as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in an administrative position.
- Previous payroll experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills (i.e Word, Excel, electronic systems) to access and update electronic records.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional attitude with a friendly demeanor when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
