**Nature and Scope**:
Reporting to the President & CEO, the VP of Operational Development & Program Growth is responsible for giving leadership and strategic direction to the Association’s revenue growth and operations. This includes the development, alignment and optimization of all revenue growth strategies, program opportunities and initiatives to meet or exceed the Association’s operational revenue goals for all Health, Fitness & Aquatics, Philanthropy, Community and Day Camp Operations.
A member of the YMCA’s Senior Leadership Team and the strategic lead of the YMCA’s revenue growth, the VP of Operational Development & Program Growth is responsible for supporting the identification of the Association’s and community needs and ensuring that programs and services align with YMCA standards and program frameworks and initiatives such as Membership Growth Support (MGS) and Shine On.
An experienced leader who demonstrates a strong knowledge of the YMCA and its programs and services, and of the charitable sector. Working with the Board of Directors, Board Committees and internal and external stakeholders with a commitment to forging and sustaining strong community relationships.
The VP of Operational Development & Program Growth will support the Financial Development of the HFA and the Marketing and Communications teams to strengthen the Association’s overall positioning, case for support, new and innovative program expansion, and revenue opportunities. The position also oversees the community development operations to identify and secure grants and other funding opportunities for community-based programs/initiatives and relevant service/program delivery to the communities of Northumberland County.
**Responsibilities**:
- Creating strategies to drive operational teams to work together, to maximize existing revenue models and create new revenue streams.
- Provide leadership and orchestrate internal and external communication initiatives that align with the Association’s strategic, philanthropic and operational goals.
- Creating and developing strategies for the Association’s Annual Giving Program and the development of new philanthropic initiatives which will include designated/project specific giving, event sponsorship, legacy /planned giving.
- In partnership with all departmental leads, oversee and direct the integration of communications and marketing strategies that will strengthen the Association’s overall charitable positioning and visibility in the community.
- Representation on the Board’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, Philanthropy Committee and others as assigned. This position will make presentations to the Board from time to time.
- Engage/liaise with key members and volunteers within the YMCA community and effectively interact with staff, the Board of Directors, community leaders, YMCA networks, donors and a variety of community partners.
- Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and financial Key Performance Indicators in order to measure and achieve operational results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operational effectiveness of the Association.
- Support the preparation of budget financial forecasts; analyze and report variances.
- Participate in the Association’s Strategic Development and Operating Capital Development.

**Knowledge and Skills Required**:
This individual must also have the ability to articulate the vision of YMCA Northumberland and represent the Association when developing and managing external partnerships.
