**Auto Detailer/Health & Safety Rep**

An Auto detailer/Health & Safety Rep has to do a lot of physical work and be outdoors quite often (irrespective of the season).

Must be able to work as a team member. In addition to these, a car detailer is expected to give prompt and effective services to the client, maintain the tools and products that he/she uses and diligently follow the instructions of his/her employer. In the execution of his/her duties, a car detailer is required to observe all safety measures that are necessary. The most essential qualification of a car detailer is his/her ability to learn from others and his/her own experiences.

As the job of a Auto detailer/Health & Safety Rep requires him/her to travel, a valid driving license is a must. Applicants must be dependable, detail oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Below are some of the main duties.

1. Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles, performing any combination of following duties: Washes vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.

2. Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.

3. Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.

4. Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.

5. Applies revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces, and treats fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.

6. Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.

7. Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer.

8. Paints engine components and related parts, using spray gun or aerosol can and masking material.

9. Applies paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicle, using container of touch-up paint.

10. Applies dyes and reconditioning chemical to vinyl tops of vehicle to restore color and condition.

11. Some vehicle driving in tight quarters will be required.

12. Driving vehicles to & from dealerships.

Health & Safety Rep Duties.

1. Enforce the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations

2. Conduct comprehensive inspections and investigations, write orders and reports

3. Engage in enforcement activities including prosecutions

4. Work with health and safety partners, workers, management to promote safe work practices and working conditions with workers & management

5. Conduct and/or coordinate Health and Safety audits

6. Review incident reports (Injuries, Near Misses, Hazards, Property Damage, etc.)

7. Determine root-causes for incidents, near misses or hazards

8. Develop recommendations for corrective measures and report to senior staff

9. Implement and document preventive and corrective actions

10. Assist with the development of project safety plans and programs

11. Prepare and facilitate health and safety training

12. Support the planning, organizing, directing and monitoring of health and safety programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative and corporate requirements

13. Develop a compliance assurance and monitoring process and produce compliance reports

14. Stay current with local legislation changes and ensure organization complies with/implements standards, technical documents, policies and procedures.

**Salary**: $35,360.00-$43,680.00 per year
