**The start date will follow the selection process.**

**Characteristic Duties**: Under the supervision of a Manager of Roads Operations with the day-to-day direction of a Sub-Foreperson "A" Line Painting and Sign Shop.

1. Fabricate standard reflective signs of all types.
2. Assist the Sign Installer as required.
4. Carry out miscellaneous lettering.
5. Perform housekeeping duties in shop.
6. Request necessary equipment and materials.
7. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS's Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
8. Perform other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education.
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
- Ability to design and lay-out signs.
- Proven ability to design pre-production layouts.
- Proven ability to operate computerized sign writer/cutter and design software (e.g. Corel Draw, SignLab).
- Proven knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, guidelines and by-laws.
- Must be able to effectively complete crew cards.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
- Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history.
- May require the use of a CGS vehicle on CGS business. Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid driver's licence and have an acceptable driving record.
