**Pro-Can Construction Group Corp.,** a Burnaby based General Contractor with over 38 years of experience, is currently looking for a qualified Site Superintendent to join our team.

The Site Superintendent will report to the Project Manager and Construction Manager and will be accountable to oversee construction staff, liaise with the owners and inspectors, coordinate sub-trades,

and manage the job site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Attend project meetings as required
- Direct all field staff to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget
- Maintain an updated construction look-ahead schedule and meet project milestones on time and on budget
- Understand the project plans/specifications to identify possible cost savings measures, and potential construction problems
- Recognize and communicate with Project Manager and Construction Manager any priority issues or work, such as employee or job costing issues and complaints from the public
- Complete Daily Job Tracking Reports
- Issuing Purchase Orders
- Maintain an organized job site, including site construction office
- Maintain the utmost safety standards, ensuring that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, which will meet and exceed those set by Worksafe BC
- Ensure that 'as-built' drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period
- Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent working for a General Contractor in the local construction industry while working on commercial, institutional and private sector projects
- Construction Management certificate/diploma or Trade Qualification is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ($10 to 35 Million Project Value)
- Demonstrated understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts
- Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations (dealing with trades, budget constraints, tight project deadlines)
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and set standard of professionalism
- Proficiency with construction drawings, MS Office Applications and strong writing & communication skills
- Demonstrated skills with planning, organization and the ability to multitask
- Demonstrated strength with customer service and ability to problem solve in an effective manner and to appease all staff and external parties
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to maintain cool while working under pressure
- Valid Driver's License

SALARY: $110-135K depending on experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $110,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
