The Scheduling Supervisor leads a team in a fast paced, complex, change oriented environment that has an important impact on the delivery of front-line housing and shelter services. As the Supervisor, you will work with your team to plan and assign tasks, delegate, monitor work assignments and staff performance, provide feedback, and ensure scheduling needs are met. This position ensures the proper flow of communication between the Payroll, Human Resources, Housing & Shelters, and Scheduling departments.

A narrow selection of the larger scope and responsibilities for the Medical Office Assistant position are as follows:

- Supervise and coordinate activities of the Scheduling team.
- Ensure all tasks are processed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly reports as needed.
- Ensure consistency and transparency in the scheduling process and monitor compliance with the Collective Agreement.
- Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of scheduling activities.
- Manage and resolve issues relating to scheduling and the payroll department.
- Maintain frequent and clear communication with other Cool Aid departments.
- Develop a strong team through regular feedback, support, and recognition.
- Performance management and staff development.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and training to new and current staff.
- Manage schedules and deadlines.
- Identify process bottlenecks/offer solutions for improvement.
- Work cooperatively with other supervisors to ensure leadership consistency, colleague support, and effective decision making.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**
- Degree or certificate in business administration or an equivalent education and experience.

**Experience**
- At least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role. Supervisory experience in a unionized experience is an asset.
- At least three (3) years of scheduling and related administrative experience. This includes the use of advanced formulas and functions in Excel, and a familiarity with payroll processes.

**Requirements**:

- Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.

**Job Information**
- **Hourly Wage Rate**: $32.79 - $37.64.
- **Work Location**: 535 Ellice ST - Rock Bay Landing
- **Work Days**: Tuesday to Saturday
- **Work Time**: 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- **Weekly Hours**: 40.
- **Union**:BCGEU.
