As a **Relief Worker** **at our **Therapeutic Homes in Abbotsford and Langley, **you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that provides support, care, and mentorship to adult and youth with ASD and other special needs in a therapeutic home setting. You will work on a casual basis and will work shifts as assigned by the program supervisor to cover ongoing vacant shifts or emergency leaves. Shifts are 8 hours/day (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am)

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to set and maintain firm boundaries with youth
- Effective de-escalation and crisis management skills
- Ability to follow behavioural support plans
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Ministry of Children and Family Development consolidated check
- Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination record or exemption from the provincial health authority
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License or Equivalent

**A sample of what you’ll be doing**:

- As part of a team, be responsible for the day-to-day care of the client and programming continuation.
- Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication
- Drive adult/youth to various locations, including school, medical appointments, outings, etc.
- Encouraging and modelling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits
- Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans

**Salary**: $24.15/hr plus 4% in lieu of vacation time.
