As a Production Baker at Bittersweet Symphony Bakery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our bakery operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring that all our delightful treats, including ice creams, gelato, cakes, wedding cake preps, and an array of pastries, are made to perfection and maintain consistent quality. Your expertise in adhering to recipes and meticulous attention to detail will contribute to creating a delightful experience for our valued customers.

**Responsibilities**:
**Production Management**: Manage the bakery's production process, ensuring that all items are made in a timely manner and maintained at par levels to meet customer demands.

**Recipe Adherence**: Carefully follow and execute recipes for ice creams, gelato, custard, lemon curd, cookie dough, and other bakery preparations to maintain consistent taste and quality.

**Preparation Planning**: Plan and organize the necessary preps, ingredients, and materials required to make cakes, wedding cakes, and other baked goods according to daily and weekly schedules.

**Display Fridge Setup**: Set up the display fridge each morning, ensuring that all pastries, cupcakes, biscotti, cookies, brownies, and other treats are artfully arranged, visually appealing, and ready to tempt customers.

**Quality Control**: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all products meet our bakery's standards in terms of taste, appearance, and freshness.

**Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and finished products, and communicate restocking needs to the management team.

**Equipment Maintenance**: Assist in maintaining and cleaning bakery equipment, ensuring that they are in proper working condition to guarantee safe and efficient production.

**Health and Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines while handling food products and maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace.

**Collaboration**: Work closely with the baking team, assisting with other baking tasks as needed and collaborating to ensure a smooth workflow.

**Continuous Improvement**: Stay updated on industry trends, baking techniques, and new recipes, and provide input for process improvements and innovative creations.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Production Baker or similar role in a bakery environment.
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and equipment operation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining consistent quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- High level of creativity and passion for baking and pastry arts.
- Health and safety conscious, ensuring a clean and hygienic workspace.

**Preferred Education and Experience**:

- High School diploma or equivalent. Culinary or Baking and Pastry Arts certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in a bakery, patisserie, or similar food production setting.
- Knowledge of ice cream and gelato production techniques is a strong advantage.
