Trans Mountain operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 300,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta and British Columbia, and 111 kilometres of pipeline in Washington state.

**This position is based in the Calgary office and will report to the Senior Environmental Advisor.**

**Duration: May 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the implementation of the Post Construction Environmental Monitoring (PCEM) program;
- Assist with administration of PCEM program - liaise with internal and external stakeholders, track budgets, develop scopes of work and provide guidance to field teams;
- Support development of PCEM databases, tracking and dashboards;
- Support the implementation of GIS based field software;
- Assist with tracking and review of Environmental Issues Lists (EIL);
- Participate in seeding, planting, invasive plant control and erosion and sediment control (ESC);
- Participate in PCEM review sessions to develop ongoing improvements to the program;
- Participate in Business Readiness and transition activities related to data and records management, condition plan development/fulfillment and operations integration; and
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Professional Experience**:

- Enrolled in an environment-based program (courses in biology and ecology considered essential);
- Basic knowledge of reclamation, post construction environmental monitoring, wildlife monitoring, and/or habitat restoration is an asset;
- Basic knowledge of Esri ArcGis, Survey 123 and Field Maps is an asset;
- Ability to successfully organize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, frequently under strict deadlines;
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
- Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules and adhere to established work schedules;
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance; and
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.

- Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution and returning to full time studies in the Fall;
- Offers a hybrid work model (combination of in-person and remote);
- Preference for valid Class 5 driver’s license, and ability to travel as required;
