**Description**:
DCB is seeking an assistant chef to work in our establishment who will report to and directly work with managerial staff. The assistant chef will be provided with a number of duties depending on what is needed. The assistant chef will provide excellent customer service and arranged dishes to guests. The assistant chef will take pride in preparing and cooking high grade cuisine, managing and ensuring the quality of dishes including aesthetic, integrity and portion control while considering allergies and food preferences.. The assistant chef will be required to work alongside and collaboratively with other staff members. They must follow the guidelines and strictly adhere to all food handling, health and safety protocols. They will work together with the hospitality team to offer great experiences to our customers and a healthy and safe environment for everyone.

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Enrollment in culinary arts or diploma in culinary arts is preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen procedures.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while attending to details and maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
- Good customer service skills.
- Experience is preferred, however enrollment in a program will be considered as well.

**Wage range**:$15.00 - $17.00 /hour dependent on work experience, plus participation in the tip pool program.
