Extended Education seeks an expert in the fields of **Business Management** to **instruct** in the course **Financial Management** (FINC 0300, 36 contact hours, M/W/F 8:30 - 9:20 a.m.) during the Summer 2023 Term.

**Course Description**:
Financial Management (FINC 0300) is offered as part of the Applied Business Management Intensive Programming (IP) package which is designed for internationally educated professionals seeking a pathway towards professional success in Manitoba and beyond.Financial Management is designed to provide a broad overview of corporate finance and the capital markets. This course introduces managerial finance, demonstrates how it relates to other functions of the organization, and describes the role of finance in achieving organizational objectives. The focus of this course is on tools for managerial decision making, which will include topics such as financial statement analysis, management of working capital, capital budgeting, short-term and long-term funding and cost of capital.

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivering face-to-face classes to international students during weekdays;
- Creating original student assessments and exams including alternate exams as required;
- Grading and returning exams and assignments as per course schedule;
- Providing feedback on student performance on an ongoing basis;
- Preparing supplementary course materials;
- Adhering to Extended Education policies and procedures including academic integrity and attendance.

Access to a personal computer is a requirement of these positions.

**Qualifications**:
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree or a suitable combination of post-secondary education, professional certification and work experience in the field of Business Management. A C.I.M. or C.Mgr. designation would be an asset. In addition, applicants should have experience in adult learning and teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized. Applicants must be committed to life-long learning and embrace a learner-centered approach to teaching. The ability to engage students in their learning environment and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion are an integral part of the position. Assets also include experience instructing at a post-secondary level, using teaching & learning technology (e.g. Desire2Learn), and demonstrated leadership skills.
