Greenskeeper

James Island Golf Course is on a privately owned 780-acre island located off the east coast of Vancouver Island between Victoria and Sidney. Accessible by a company owned water taxi, this Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is hiring individuals for greenskeeper positions.

**Job Type**:

- Seasonal May - August, Full time-40 hours per week

**Duties**:

- Mowing greens, tees, fairways and rough
- Operation of push mowers and string trimmers
- Raking bunkers and general bunker maintenance
- Able to perform physical labour in all weather conditions
- Perform various turf repair and construction projects

**Requirements**:

- Ability to operate various pieces of equipment
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A self starter and internally motivated
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- A valid class 5 or 7 drivers license and the ability to operate vehicles

The position is full time seasonal May to August. Applicants may be required to work the occasional weekend and be flexible on start times. Our work place is non-smoking

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
