**Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 1 - Night Shift**

Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.) one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies presently requires a **Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 1** for the **night shift** at our **Kingston **location.

This fast-paced, team-oriented region places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff, which is critical to the success of our customer relationships.
- Complete cleaning, washing and routine maintenance of construction equipment;
- Complete quality assurance inspections on equipment;
- Testing and operation of construction equipment, including, but not limited to, assessment of damages;
- Perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment, including, but not limited to, maintaining and servicing rental equipment, oil and filter changes;
- Complete required documentation and data entry;
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area, shop and branch;
- Load and unload customer rental equipment when required;
- Assisting other technicians as needed;
- Follow all Health and Safety policies, while maintaining a safe work environment;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Key Qualifications**
- Prior experience in performing failure analysis and repair on all types of construction equipment;
- Extensive background and knowledge of construction equipment and the necessary parts and services to maintain and repair;
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairs;
- Existing knowledge of the service/maintenance requirements for all types of construction equipment including Genie, Skyjack and CAT.
- Ability to work independently, skilled in time management and organization;
- Adaptable to on-call work schedules and willing to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of the business, including afternoon shifts;
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be considered beneficial);
- A customer-centric and positive attitude; good communication skills;
- A valid G-class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract is mandatory.

**Additional Qualifications**
- Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
- Preference will be given to a 421A Heavy Equipment licensed person.
- Your own tools are required.
