**Position Details**:
**What You Will Do**
- Management of both simple and complex incoming and outgoing subrogation files across multiple lines of claims
- Determines that proper reserves have been established
- Timely management of activities
- Ensures immediate and effective responses are provided through written/telephone communication to the following: insureds, third parties, experts
- Negotiating settlement of various claims, and negotiation plan leading to a reasonable settlement within the authority level, or as authorized by the Recovery Manager
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the current insurance legislations and legal processes
- Reviews legal budget for proper file reserving; review legal opinion and strategize with counsel and management for best anticipated outcome.
- Attend settlement conferences, discoveries, mediations, pretrial or trial
**Who You Are**
- Post-secondary education completed and equivalent work experience in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in claims, subrogation or collections
- CIP/FCIP designation or Collection License an asset
- Paralegal experience as asset
- Property Claims Experience is an asset
- Excellent customer service experience
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in cross functional teams
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong negotiations and analytical skills
