Look no further than Zurich Canada.- If you have experience in automobile underwriting and are looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.- Zurich Canada is currently looking for an Automobile Underwriter to underwrite new and renewal business.- Reporting to the VP, Automobile and Transportation you will underwrite new and renewal business, regularly interacting with the market, and utilizing The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels on assignments of moderate technical complexity ensuring a high-level service to customer.- This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience for the future in a supportive environment where your voice matters.- Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table**Required**:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 1 or more years of experience in the Insurance or Market Facing area of Banking, Mortgage, Finance,

OR- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area

AND- Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment
- Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelines

**Preferred**:

- Bachelor's Degree with 1 or more years' experience in the automobile underwriting area
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office skills
- Proficiency in the French language
- Verbal and written proficiency in the English language is required in order to facilitate communication with internal and external key stakeholders located outside of Quebec.
