Accounting Generalist

**Job Title**: Accounting Generalist

As an Accounting Generalist at Diversified Ulbrich, you will work with our accounting department to ensure expenditures are accurate and accounting practices are standardized across the company, including processing payments, verifying invoices, and performing account reconciliations as needed.
- Receive invoices, match against supporting documents (purchase orders, receiving records, etc.), investigate and resolve any discrepancies, obtain appropriate approvals when needed and process invoices for payment.
- Communicate with and respond to vendors concerning payables issues (i.e. payment status; disputes; etc.).
- Reconcile vendor statements and address all past due items.
- Ensure that invoices have been received and posted prior to month end closing.
- Work with the finance team leads to ensure that the month-end close process is completed in a timely manner.
- Prepare month end reports and reconcile subledgers to the ledger.
- Maintain and update overseas file tracker to ensure payments and receipts balance against purchase order. Reconcile to the ledger monthly, addressing any discrepancies.
- Liaise with purchasing department to ensure overseas purchase orders are up to date with correct pricing and quantities.
- Enter material receipts into ERP system. Post material receipt and corresponding documents onto drive.
- Backup other team members when they are absent, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- Post
- secondary diploma in Business or Accounting
- Accounts Payable experience is an asset
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management skills
- Accountability and dependability
