Tinkle Time Pet Services Cowichan Valley is hiring Pet and Home Sitters

We are looking for passionate, experienced, mature, clean, and reliable people who love working with animals to join our team as a Pet and Home Sitter. We currently offer Pet and Home Sitting care in Duncan, Mill Bay, Cobble Hill, Cowichan Bay, Lake Cowichan and Shawnigan Lake (occasionally Ladysmith/Chemainus).

We are locally owned and operated; meaning you always have the support of the team and direct access to the business owner and leadership team.

The Pet and Home Sitter is responsible for:

- The safety and well being of pets, animals and the clients home while the owners are away
- Staying in the clients home overnight (unless it is just daily check ins requested). Stays may be 1 night up to 31+ nights
- Following specific instructions provided by clients regarding feeding, exercise, and medication administration
- Following specific instructions provided by clients regarding care of the home
- Checking in with the client daily through our app, posting photos on our app
- Potentially caring for other animals (i.e. chickens, horses) and yards
- Providing compassionate and engaging pet care and providing companionship while pet owners are away
- Leaving the home in the condition as it was when you arrived or better

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Previous experience in pet care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of various pet breeds, behaviors, and basic care requirements
- Ability to handle pets of different sizes and temperaments
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients and address their concerns
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to accommodate pets not being left alone longer than a 5 hour period during the day
- Able to pet sit in the multiple communities as listed above (some exceptions)
- Valid BC drivers license and personal vehicle to travel to clients' homes for pet sitting assignments
- Current and clear criminal background check at the sitters expense
