- DUTIES
1. Verify disability status of applicants and/or students with Registration Services.
2. Assist applicants and students with disabilities in seeking external funding for assistive equipment/technology and required accommodations.
3. Analyze documentation to determine reasonable accommodations for person with verified disabilities. Communicate reasonable accommodations to the student, Learning Services and program head as appropriate.
4. Conduct psycho-educational assessments, interpret results and prescribe accommodations for enrolled students as required.
5. Liaise with Learning Services or other agencies to facilitate implementation of reasonable accommodations.
6. Encourage and promote self-advocacy for applicants and students with disabilities.
7. Maintain contacts and information of external resources, funding agencies and disability advocacy groups.
8. Provide ongoing support to students with disabilities as required.
9. Act as a resource person as appropriate on behalf of students with disabilities.
10. Conduct workshops related to disabilities based on identified need.
11. Record and maintain statistics, develop statistical reporting formats and provide reports to the Student Development program head.

**Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)**
- 1. Masters degree in Educational Psychology or completed coursework and practicum requirements of Master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a condition of employment that Master’s degree is completed within one (1) year.
2. Membership or eligible for membership in the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists within one (1) year.
3. Eligibility for Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) from the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
4. Two years recent/relevant experience counselling in an educational setting.
5. A background in psycho-educational assessments.
6. Superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
7. Ability to work as a member of multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of students.
8. Effective interpersonal and communication skills in complex and emotionally charged situations.

10. Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal social, economic and cultural challenges in Saskatchewan and the relationship of these challenges to the support of Aboriginal students.
