- As a Parks Trainer, you will deliver training programs which support the achievement of Calgary Parks strategic training goals and outcomes. Primary duties include:

- Deliver training and provide operational and technical training that is specific to the needs of Calgary Parks operations and/or portfolios, to seasonal and permanent staff.
- Support train-the-trainer programs and various on-the-job training sessions.
- Design and develop blended learning instructional tools and materials (for example: course training standards, facilitation guides, participant manuals, performance support, and online/multimedia aids) utilizing best practices in instructional design.
- Connect with leaders using the Parks Training Matrix as a resource tool, to support their business training needs or learning needs and goals.
- Conduct needs assessment to determine learning and development needs and propose a variety of different learning solutions.
- Analyze business requirements to develop and deliver successful learning plans and strategies to diverse audiences.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate training programs; and manage/input training records.
- Use evaluation tools to monitor and measure the effectiveness of learning and training solutions.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in Education, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Adult Education or related discipline.
- At least 3 years of related experience with a focus in designing, delivering, and evaluating adult leadership training and learning solutions. This includes the ability to deliver training to diverse audiences in a variety of settings (virtual, in-person at a training center or in the field).
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) and the use of a personal vehicle for work purposes is required.
- An intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
- Knowledge of Parks & Open Spaces function and operation is an asset.
- Ability to use Articulate 360 will be considered an asset.
- Proven ability to create, implement and evaluate training opportunities in alignment City of Calgary mission, vision and values.
- Competencies for this role include excellent communication, planning, organization, and presentation skills. The ability to work with mínimal supervision and respond quickly to changing priorities is required.
