**Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently hiring a Supervisor Global Trade Management to join our team. This position is based at our Burlington, ON facility and offers benefits from Day 1.**

**What you’ll do**:
The Global Trade Management (GTM) Supervisor will join the Canadian Global Trade Management team and will be responsible for supporting the team with import, customs, and compliance functions in Eaton.

As part of the GTM Team, you are expected to play a highly visible role within GTM and SCM. You are expected to partner with your manager, business leaders, and coordinate with various functions and departments to align practices and improve import/export processes for the GTM team.

**Responsibilities**:
This role will cover a wide scope of activities and tasks in the Canadian region to oversee the day-to-day importing, exporting and customs related activities of Eaton Canada.
- Responsible for the Supervision of 4-5 team members
- Assist the GTM Manager, drive the implementation of process improvements for import/export.
- Facilitate training of key GTM trainings and virtual sessions/e-learnings
- Keeping up to date with training/seminars/continuous learning on Customs Regulations
- Maintaining the Customs Self-Assessment (CSA) program and assist in Audits & Compliance activities.
- Updating, and administering compliance policies,
- Analyzing, and approving products for classification, country of origin marking and labeling,
- Annual reconciliation and duty assist evaluation.
- Preparation and coordination of export documentation and shipment release for all Canadian shipping locations.
- Manage HS code classification requests.
- Manage Transfer Pricing Adjustments process and filings to CBSA for Canada
- Manage duty recovery/adjustments through filings with CBSA.
- Monitoring, and reviewing documentation, record keeping as mandated,

**Qualifications**:
**Basic Required Qualifications**:

- Diploma or degree in International Trade / Business or equivalent
- Community College certificate in International Trade Practices or equivalent
- Canadian Society of Customs Brokers Certification/Professional Designation
- 3-5 years experience logistics / customs / trade compliance (or similar) equivalent
- Expertise in Canadian and US Customs regulations
- Expertise in CSA related reporting environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite skills with advanced Excel and Power BI
- Expertise in Canadian and US Customs regulations
- Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Proficient with SAP and/ or ERP
- Bilingual in the French language
- Proficiency in product classification, origination, and valuation skills
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Experience with Canadian customs regulations

**Skills**:

- Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills
- Working knowledge of Lean processes
