DEPARTMENT: Programs

POSITION: Activity Aide

POSTING NO.: 017-24

HOURS OF WORK: 75 hours bi-weekly 2nd floor

WAGE RANGE: AS PER COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology or related health care program MUST be provided.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent documentation skills.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in one-one and group program planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Knowledge and/or experience in working with the geriatric population especially those with Cognitive Impairments, Mental Health, and Responsive Behaviours.
- Knowledge in technology such as Activity Pro, Activity Connection, Google Calendar, iPads (Facetime, Messenger, Skype), as well as Point Click Care.
