New Directions is a social service agency offering a wide range of resources and services that foster people’s hopes and dreams in their communities.

MACC is one of the many services offered by New Directions. We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Clinician to join our team; working across the lifespan, but primarily working with children. Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the Clinician manages a clinical case load that may involve consultation, education, and supervision in a culturally sensitive and professionally responsible manner. The Clinician works in cooperation with the Manager, Coordinators, Case Managers, and Home Supervisors of New Directions areas that request therapy, consultation, assessment, or debriefing services.

**Duties Include**:

- Perform intake & assessment
- Provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and developmentally appropriate therapy to help families
- Supporting families to connect with community resources
- Working with larger systems to co-ordinate services and develop programming
- Facilitating psycho-educational therapy groups
- Supervising practicum students
- Providing training and workshops to other professionals

**Qualifications Include**:

- Master's degree in clinical field (e.g., MSW, Psychiatric Nursing)
- Be certified to practice in their discipline within the Province of Manitoba, by being accredited by a Provincial regulatory body associated with the clinical discipline and in good standing (e.g., MB College of Social Workers, College of Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba).
- Clinical experience working with families, children, adolescents and adults and the ability to deliver individual, family, and group psychotherapy, with a trauma-informed understanding of behaviours
- An awareness of cross-cultural factors that impact the healing/recovery process, including inter-generational trauma and the impact of colonization on Indigenous and settler communities.
- The ability to work effectively within in a systemic framework and familiarity with attachment theory and related interventions as well as play-based interventions.
- Experience working with clients involved with multiple systems.
- Willingness to engage in community partnerships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disabilities and skills to work with families and children with neurodiversity is an asset.

The salary range for this 70-hour bi-weekly position is $36.95 - $45.81 per hour (equivalent to $67,249 - $83,374 per annum), dependent upon education and/or experience.
