**Job Summary**

SEARCHING FOR: ALARM TECHNICIANS

GENERAL SUMMARY

Install, program, maintain and repair security equipment

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform security alarm installations including cabling, mounting of devices/hardware and network IP setups/programming
- Diagnose and repair installation issues
- Ensure complete functionality of all systems and training of clients
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all clients
- Maintain a consistent commitment to following best practices

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, and other areas as required. Examine systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.
- Feed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets, then position and terminate cables, wires and strapping.
- Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures have been met.
- Install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
- Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and attach electrical and telephone wiring in order to connect components.
- Mount raceways and conduits, and fasten wires to wood framing, using staplers.
- Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
- Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions.
- Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and basic network related problems encountered by end-users of the network. Has a basic understanding of IPV4 and how to assign a computer an IP address.
- Maintains supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory (truck stock) and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation/repair.
- Responds to emergency situations during or after hours during on-call for the purpose of resolving immediate customer needs
- Transports tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure availability of materials required at job site
- Keep informed of new products and developments. Request orders for replacement parts.
- Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
- Travel is required for this position. All expenses are paid for or reimbursed by the company.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years previous related work experience in Intrusion Alarm (DSC, Qolsys, 2GIG)
- BSP & ASP Alarm Agent License required
- Bilingual in English and French
- Valid Driver's License required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
