**Intake Worker**

**Canada Summer Jobs - 8 Week Contract**
$18/Hour, ending August 31, 2023.

The Back Door Mission works to relieve the burdens of poverty and social dislocation within the economically deprived and street population of Oshawa. Originally a drop-in centre, the Back Door Mission has expanded its services during the COVID-19 pandemic and is currently operating Mission United.

Please note, this job is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs program. You must be aged between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.

The responsibilities and minimum qualifications for this position are as follows:
**Duties**
- Observe and understand the various intake points throughout Mission United.
- Collect data on a group of individuals movement the HUB.
- Prepare a data report to be utilized for the HUB’s ongoing intake process evaluation.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Post secondary education or work experience in information management, data, health, or social service sectors considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc).
- Experience working with EMR systems or HIFIS considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
