The role of the Bakery Manager is to lead the bakery to success by taking ownership of the day to day front and back of house operations in an organized and friendly manner. The Bakery Manager ensures quality standards are met at all stages of doughnut production (dough making, dough frying, doughnut decorating, ingredient production), as well as ensures customer service is excellent and organized (doughnut slingers and delivery drivers). Knowledge and experience working with dough and food handling a must.

The Bakery Manager will help create a vibrant and healthy team culture, with great attention to detail, high quality standards and team accountability.

While in this position, the daily duties will include (but not be limited to):

- Supervise daily doughnut production-looking for quality and consistency, proper portioning, following ingredient/descriptions, proper food handling techniques, following daily production numbers;
- Providing performance feedback and reviews to staff;
- Training, hiring and letting staff go as necessary;
- Maintaining/monitoring inventory and ordering supplies, ensuring proper food storage and rotation;
- Managing cash deposits, maintain cash out procedures and communicate with Bookkeeper;
- Making social media posts and monitoring/responding as necessary to comments & messages on social media;
- Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks are completed as necessary;
- Arranging for repairs and maintenance in a timely manner;
- Responding to customer complaints/issues;
- Covering shifts and assisting various areas of the shop when necessary;
- Maintaining necessary and succinct communication with the owner.

To be successful in this role, the Bakery Manager must have:

- Confident and compassionate leadership skills;
- Efficient time management skills;
- Great customer service skills;
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills;
- Attention to all the details (there are many);
- Extensive knowledge of baking and finishing baked goods;
- Interest in and knowledge of flavour pairing and food trends;
- Great organization and be very adept at following up with a variety of people (staff, trades people, customers, etc);
- The ability to work with little to no supervision;
- Experience working in a restaurant or bakery setting;
- Flexibility in scheduling and willing to work very early hours;
- Autonomy and ability to problem solve.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
