We currently have an opening for part time Lounge Bartender, to create cocktails, serve food and beverages to both hotel guests as well as local customers while upholding the Delta and Brand service standards. The bartender will also be responsible for maintaining par stocks, preparing bills, cashing out, maintenance and cleanliness of work areas, guest eating areas, storage and equipment.

***DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Welcome guests with promptness and courtesy.
- Promotes house drinks and food items; utilizes upselling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.
- Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails and mixed drinks, according to standard operating procedures establishing proper proportions and ingredients to control costs and provide a consistent product to the guests.
- Possesses a complete knowledge of all beverage menus, beverage products, preparation methods and presentation.
- Ensures a thorough knowledge of all food menu items, ingredients and preparation methods, including any daily features.
- Checks identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable; follows provincial and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Verifies liquor inventory; correctly completes all requisition requirements and stores stock as per approved procedures.
- Prepares end of shift reports and cash outs; documents cash transactions and deposits as per audit procedures
- Complies with all cash handling and cash out policies and procedures
- Preparation for the next shift’s work on a daily basis.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour.
- Follows the Delta Regina’s service culture with regards to Key Standards, Core Values and Guest Expectations.
- Be prompt when reporting for a scheduled shift.
- Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:
**Education/ Experience**: Basic reading, writing and math and one year of bartending and food service experience.

**Certification and/or License Requirement**:Food handling certificate - Serve it Right as required by Provincial law. Bartending and drink preparation knowledge and experience a must.

**Skills**:Interpersonal communications. Ability to communicate effectively, and professionally with all guests. Attention to detail.

**Working Conditions**:Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Will be required to work in fast paced, stressful environment. May be asked to work overtime. Must be available late evenings and weekends
