Directs/supervises and coordinates the resources, specific tasks and related processes for the warehouse and distribution department. Ensures that internal customers are satisfied and fulfilled with outputs and responsiveness. Follows at all times Bakers & Us guiding principles of Best Practices as both process improvement and cultural attitude. Continually reviews operations processes in order to maximize productivity, increase profitability, increase efficiency and improve quality. Assist the Operations Manager as required and work on special projects.

PRINCIPAL/ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

**Hours of work: Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (OT may be required for business needs)**

**Operations Administration**
- Ensure all best practices are adhered to at all times.
- Slotting and maintain space allocation for all SKU’s in the warehouse including new locations for New Items.
- Arrange deliveries when required by utilizing staff and company vehicles.
- Maintain Chep and in-house pallet control records on a daily basis.
- Ensure inbound freight is scheduled within the set guidelines.
- To co-ordinate inventory cycles counts as per the set procedure and reports all inventory discrepancies with reasons and solutions to the Operations Manager.
- Record daily employee productivity and make available to the Operations Manager.
- Manage and report all safety, repairs and maintenance requirements to the Operations Manager.
- Ensure the facility is maintained and ensure facility audits are performed as to the set procedure and follow-up on shortcomings.
- Purchases warehouse supplies within the budgeted guidelines as required.
- Lead, guide, train and motivate all warehousing and distribution staff (up to 10) to meet company goals and expectations.
- Summarize payroll and vacation benefits for all warehouse employees every two weeks.
- Co-ordinate the safety committee and ensure it operates within the guidelines as set out by the Workers Compensation.

**Education and Experience**
- Minimum Grade 12 education. A Certificate of completion from a recognized Operations program or five years experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in written format with all departments.
- Must be accurate with numbers.
- Must be certified on Reach, Counter Balance, and Walkie MHE equipment.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to be hands this would include loading and offloading of trucks. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to (25) pounds. and ability to focus. The employee will be required to work in Cooler & Freezer locations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
