Maxum Excavating Ltd is a civil underground utilities company and a member of the IUOE union based out of the Lower Mainland. We focus on underground utility installations, site development, road construction, and excavation for public, private, commercial, and subdivision projects.

Maxum Excavating Ltd is looking to hire a foreman, pipe layer, and labourer to join our team. These positions offer excellent opportunities for learning new skills, career advancement, union wages and benefits including paid overtime, medical and dental, and pension contributions.

**Foreman**:

- Must be confident shooting grades
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Follow project plans, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a civil construction setting
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and standards
- Experience supervising a team of workers on construction sites
- Proficiency in construction estimating and budgeting processes is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately

A valid driver’s license is required along with a reliable vehicle for travel to various worksite locations

**Pipe Layer**

Minimum 3 years experience in civil construction

Willing/able to work in outdoor environment

Must be reliable and able to work independently and as a team player

A driver’s license is required along with a reliable vehicle for travel to various worksite locations

**Labourer**

Must be hard-working and motivated

Willing/able to work in an outdoor environment

Willing/able to perform physically demanding tasks (example: working on feet for long periods of time; lifting heavy objects)

Must be reliable and able to work independently and as a team player

A driver’s license is required along with a reliable vehicle for travel to various worksite locations

Experience with machinery and equipment (backhoe, skid steer) an asset

Training available

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
