Draftsperson

**COMPANY DESCRIPTION**

Doortech Mfg. & Distribution Ltd. is a provider of hollow metal and wood doors, aluminum frames and windows, curtain walls and automated entrance systems for the commercial industry. At Doortech we take pride in putting our customers first with superior professional, friendly service.
- As a member of the Hollow Metal & Hardware Division as well as the Aluminum Division, this position is responsible for the creation of shop drawings through Auto-CAD with future possibilities of completing hardware schedules.
- Prepare lists of materials for shipping and/or work orders for production. Make recommendations, as and when required, for product purchasing with the Purchasing Manager.
- Learn how to do material take-offs and pricing for Aluminum Products, finish hardware and miscellaneous specialties through public tenders and / or design build customers.
- Assist management in maintaining existing accounts and existing markets as well as developing new accounts and new markets.
- Deal with all customer opportunities, issues and problems as they arise, ranging from an initial discussion all the way through to a final resolution.
- Attend divisional sales meetings as they occur and participate in marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities as and when these are presented to you.
- Strong and frequent communication with customers on all aspects of the project.
- Create estimates for change orders and/or smaller projects may be required once knowledge of product has been achieved.
- Support others within the sales/service team to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that your office is kept clean and organized, that your files are maintained in good order and that your paperwork is submitted for processing in a timely manner.
- All other duties as assigned from time-to-time.
