**ABOUT THE JOB**:
Canadian Mental Health Association BC Division is seeking an Education, Training and Development Coordinator to join our Confident Parents Thriving Kids (CPTK) Anxiety Program in Victoria. The CPTK Anxiety Program provides family-focused telephone and web-based coaching to Indigenous and non-Indigenous parents and caregivers across BC. The parent intervention will include short educational videos along with corresponding telephone coaching to help parents and caregivers develop effective skills and strategies for their children to manage anxiety symptoms and improve their functioning.

Under the direction of the Program Leader, the Education, Training and Development Coordinator will provide operational support for the Confident Parents Thriving Kids Anxiety Program delivered across the province. In addition, the Education, Training and Development Coordinator will help the Program Leader to support the coaching team in delivering the telephone
- and internet-based, parent-mediated brief (CBT) intervention for children with anxiety. To maintain their own coaching skills, the Education, Training and Development Coordinator will also be delivering direct coaching services to parents/ caregivers themselves.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The duties and responsibilities associated with this position are described below. As this is a new position in the program, the nature and scope of responsibilities may be modified over time. Please note this is not an exhaustive list.
- Participate as part of the CPTK-A team, providing operational input into the development, implementation and interpretation of program policies and procedures when required.
- Liaise with the CPTK Anxiety coaches to discuss shared areas of challenge and to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Answer basic coach questions about documented and established policies and procedures and refer them to the Program Leader or the Psychologist as required.
- Provide support to the Program Leader and the Psychologist to review coaching calls.
- Provide structured feedback to the Program Leader and/or the Psychologist.
- Support the coaches with difficulties in client care, and help them identify appropriate tools and approaches to move clients towards success.
- Identify and recommend new/additional training needs for coaches to the Program Leader.
- Participate in the hiring process and onboarding of new coaches.
- Be a primary resource person and trainer for new coaches during their initial six weeks of formal training.
- Provide support to the Program Leader around other evaluation activities, as required.
- Work closely with the Program Leader to connect with families who have been accepted to the program and schedule the Introductory calls.
- Track families who have been accepted to the program on various databases to ensure families are contacted and assigned to a coach.
- Participate in all scheduled workshops and training sessions.
- Maintain a reduced coaching caseload.
- Perform additional duties as required.

**ABOUT YOU**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Child and Youth Care or related discipline. Master’s in social work or Child and Youth Care or related discipline, or a Registered Clinical Counsellor designation, is an asset. An equivalent combination of professional experience and education may be considered.
- Training and knowledge in child development.
- Training and knowledge in evidence-based approaches to children’s mental health.

**Experience**:

- Minimum two years experience in a role involving quality assurance responsibilities.
- Experience working in mental health, social, or family services.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Experience working with client databases.
- Experience in a supervisory role is an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, facilitation, and written communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and conceptually, and ability to adapt programs and program delivery as required.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to coordinate and respond to emerging issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent knowledge of the CBT therapeutic model of service delivery.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
- When scheduling families, the Education, Training and Development Coordinator will require strong skills in following up with parents/caregivers, data tracking, and communication with the Program Leader, coaches, parents/caregivers, and the Intake Team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and to work with mínimal supervision.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- This is a full-time role, and the regular work week is 37.5 hours.
