Luff Industries is currently accepting resumes for qualified Machinists (Journeyman Apprentices) to join our growing operations team in our Calgary Alberta Plant.

**The Job**:
Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, this role is responsible for the set up and operation of various machining equipment to manufacture custom parts and components used in the final assembly of products that are shipped to our customers.

**Your Daily Work will include**:

- Working safely and keeping your work area clean and tidy.
- Safely and efficiently operating various machining equipment including CNC Lathes, Manual Lathes, and Boring Mill Equipment.
- Programming of G-Code, set up and use of CNC lathes.
- Use of overhead cranes to safely handle raw materials.
- Handling completed product and raw materials safely using a variety of manual and powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Checking and verifying that completed parts are being produced according to the established company's Quality Work Procedures and standards.
- Performing visual inspections of completed parts / product to ensure that they meet the established quality standards and requirements.
- Any other tasks required for the success of the company.

**Who We are looking for**:
Applicants will also bring the following skills and experience:

- At least 3 Years in a previous machinist role.
- At least 1 Year of experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with Lathe and boring mill.
- Previous experience performing setup and programming of G-Code on Haas or Mazak CNC lathes.
- Prior experience safely using overhead cranes.
- Experience using ERP systems (preferably EPICOR.)

**Compensation**:This is an hourly position with a starting wage range of $36.00 - $38.00 per hour for Journeymen. The final starting wage will be based on the successful applicant’s combination of skills and experience. Future increases will be based on ongoing individual performance as part of our employee review and development program. Employees are eligible to participate in the company benefit program after 3 months of employment.
