As a Trackman, you will be responsible to help aid in the various railway maintenance jobs, such as: replacing rail, replacing ties, track maintenance, production crews and run equipment when trained. This position involves working outside and is very laborious, so physical fitness is an asset. You will use basic rail specific hand tools, hydraulics and power tools every day.

Main responsibilities include daily inspections and maintenance of your hand tools and hydraulic tools.

You will report to the foreman or supervisor each day to be assigned tasks and participate in the daily safety/toolbox meetings. As a trackman, past rail experience is desired because you will be performing a multiple of different jobs that will vary from simple fixes to building track and crossings. The trackman’s main responsibility is to work safely and efficiently to complete their given task of that day. Being able to work in a team is a must because you will be working on a crew of 3-7 people to complete the same task. Good communication skills are also especially important in a loud and busy environment.

Must be available to travel for work

Pre-employment D&A test is required

Must have valid CSTS ticket

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Rail: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Clean Class 5 License (preferred)
