Driver - Wheelchair-accessible Van (Part-time)

**Tâches et responsabilités**
- Drive safely for the well-being of customers and other drivers on the road.
- Ensure proper operation of the van by performing a complete inspection before each shift and checking off all boxes on the daily inspection sheets.
- Be on time and respect the instructions indicated on the route sheet.
- Assist residents entering and exiting the van.
- Be polite, attentive and ready to help customers using Transport Kent services.
- Maintain the van in good condition, i.e. clean the interior, including windows, seats and floor during downtime, and take the van to a car wash regularly.
- Refuel regularly and take into account the van's maintenance needs (oil changes, plates and inspection).
- Be careful when handling equipment.
- Inform Dispatch or the Assistant Executive Director of any problems or concerns.
- In partnership with our communications staff, meet with citizens, nursing homes and municipalities to promote the serviceConduire de façon sécuritaire pour le bien-être des clients et des autres conducteurs sur la route.

**Conditions de travail**
- Start date - As soon as possible / May 2024
- Permanent part-time position/Min. 15 hours per week
- Place of Work: KRSC, 104-1 Irving blvd, Bouctouche, NB.
- The employee will be required to undergo training with the company designing the van and with transportation services for people with reduced mobility. These training sessions will be offered at KSRC's expense, and the employee will be paid during these training days.
- Hourly rate of $20 to $25/hour, depending on experience.

**Compétences requises**
- Completed grade 12 or equivalent training.
- Experience as a driver would be an asset.
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Customer service skills
- Good driving record
- Possess a valid New Brunswick Class 5 driver's license and a minimum of five (5) years driving experience.
- Organizational, interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
- Training or experience in working with vulnerable people would be an assetDouzième année complétée ou formation équivalente.
