Rigger (Ft)

Matrix is hiring Riggers for an exciting, long-term job in Halifax, NS. We are looking for local applicants only.

Our client has been building quality vessels for over 50 years and has been at the forefront of Canadian shipbuilding for over 130 years.

The pay rate is $37.12/hr.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving.
- Select gear such as cables, pull-eyes, and winches, according to load weights and sizes using chain fall and other equipment.
- Tilt, dip, and turn to suspend loads to maneuver over, under, or around obstacles.
- Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure the safety of workers and material.

**Requirements**:

- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
- A background check is completed by the employer.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in rigging.
- Successfully completed rigging training courses.
