Job description

Silver Cross, a division of Savaria, has an opening for a Stairlift Installer in the Ottawa area. Silver Cross sells new and recycled home healthcare equipment to a growing market for seniors, caregivers and others in need of various mobility and accessibility aids. **Responsibilities**:

- Work independently and as part of a team to assist individuals with mobility challenges
- Efficiently complete installations of stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, and other mobility and accessibility products
- Provide on site training to clients
- Respond to customer calls/answer client questions
- Diagnose and repair issues related to accessibility and mobility equipment
- Complete all installation or service related documents in detail
- Receive customer payment after installation or service
- Based out of our Ottawa office, with travel during business hours around the Ottawa area
- Empathetic and hardworking individual who understands the unique challenges faced by our clients (primarily seniors and individuals with disabilities)
- Organized individual with attention to detail
- Mechanically and electrically inclined
- Willing to learn
- Responsible and effective at managing their time
- Strong communication skills with colleagues and clients

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years repair or installation experience
- 2+ years Mechanical/Electrical experience
- 2+ years working directly with clients (preferably in home)
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Ability to lift 50-75lbs
- EDM-T license considered a big asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
