EHS Specialist

Job Overview
Key Job Responsibilities

Administrative Management of EHS System, policies, and procedures;
Injury Claims Management;
Return to Work Function and management of Workers Compensation;
Incident and accident management including investigations;
Delivery of safety programs to instill safety culture and minimize injuries;
Development and delivery of safety training to suit the business requirements;
Support function to management for EHS services;
Coordination and maintenance of environmental monitoring;
Support function to management for EHS services; and

Business unit reporting of trends and EHS business reports/ presentations.

Qualifications/Requirements

College diploma in safety or equivalent;
Minimum 1 year of experience with safety program and policy guidance;
Minimum 1 year of experience working in industrial establishment;
Canadian Registered Safety Professional is an asset;
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work productively in a team environment;
High attention to detail and awareness to surrounding;
Flexible, self-motivated, and driven to achieve goals and targets while also acting as a coach to fellow employees;
Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database systems for data analysis, reporting, creation of presentations and training; and

Ability to plan and prioritize EHS initiatives and work with others to execute strategic priorities.
