As a facilities, maintenance technician, you are responsible for the installation and layout of spaces for teaching and administration, as well as the installation, modification, and repair of furniture. You handle customer service requests and use computer tools to document requests and their resolution. You also assist internal clients with document shredding and install posters inside and outside the building.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform installations and alterations necessary for teaching and administration;
- Conduct various installation, modification or repair work on furniture;
- Handle customer service requests (3311) and use our computer tools to document requests and their resolution;
- Assist internal customers with document shredding using an outside vendor as needed ;
- Install and uninstall signs inside and outside the building ;
- Set up and tear down rooms at events according to plans, inside and outside of campus (other addresses) ;
- Set up banners at height as required ;
- Monitor the performance of outside contractors as required to ensure quality of work and excellent customer service ;
- Participate in quality inspections with the housekeeping vendor and ensure that the housekeeping service specifications and standards are met;
- Report any maintenance deficiencies so that corrective action can be taken;
- Store materials and ensure equipment is in good condition;
- Performs any other duties deemed compatible with the position, when required by the immediate supervisor.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Able to push, pull and lift moderate weights up to 50 lbs;
- Possess a valid driver's license ;
- Fluency in French and English ;
- At least three years experience in a similar position.

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
