**Job Description**:
AECOM is searching for a Resident Inspector for a full-time position to be based out of our Whitby, ON office. Project site is located in close proximity to the office.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- May assist with training entry-level employees.
- Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
- Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
- Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
- Tracks quality assurance progress.
- Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- High school diploma + 4 years of relevant experience in a field role on transportation or water infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Driving license and access to own vehicle

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- P.Eng or CET designations are an asset
- 10+ years of experience with the following:

- Managing civil construction projects greater than $2 M
- Projects of the same type, e.g. odour control facilities, water distribution systems, sewage collection systems, sewage pumping stations, sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects, etc.
- Construction methods of open cut, watertight closed sheeting, vertical trenching and all other trenchless technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Accuracy with details is essential
- Experience working around mobile heavy equipment
- Familiar with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services
- Ability to read and interpret Civil construction drawings and specifications
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience is an asset
- Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control (CISEC) is an asset
