**Education, Certifications, and Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent with other vocational or professional certification
- 5+ years of framing experience in new home construction/ general framing experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead Framer
- Work from Heights Required
- Must have strong attention to detail

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead crews to clear and prepare sites for construction
- Ability to train, mentor, and teach crews framing and proficient use of hand tools
- Accurately interpret and read blueprints to determine supplies and timelines for projects
- Communicate engineering and construction drawings with the crew to navigate the flow of work
- Open the job site up in the morning and close the job site at night
- Manage crews and materials on construction sites of residential and commercial projects.
- Examining building materials to identify any defects.
- Ensure all materials are requested and on hand for the job site
- Have the knowledge to set up and instruct the team to take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures.
- Communicate needs to management regarding safety, materials, and equipment.
- You are expected to develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, co-workers, etc. by effectively communicating with them, sharing clear expectations, and holding them accountable for their actions.
- Must be capable of communicating with co-workers about the material, safety hazards, and equipment in a proactive manner
- Must be able to work outdoors and adapt to various weather conditions
- Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule
- Must be able to complete all assignments/tasks and paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. This includes submitting employee hours.
- Must maintain standards of cleanliness and organization of job sites, trucks, and equipment.

**Skills and Physical Capabilities Required**:

- Must be able to supervise and lead employees
- The ability to interpret blueprints.
- The ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be fit and have good physical endurance
- Must be able to stand and/or be on your feet 8+ hours a day
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, crawl, climb, crouch, and kneel repeatedly

**Cell Phone Requirements**
- A cell phone with a data plan is required.

**Tools and Equipment Required**
- Must wear steel-toed boots
- Must have a tool belt and basic hand toolset

**Transportation/Travel Information**:

- Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record and the ability able to use own vehicle to travel and transport crews to job sites as required. (Mileage will be compensated).
- Able to travel to job sites in the Niagara Region and surrounding areas (Hamilton, Toronto, Misssauga Etc). Job sites vary.
- Able to travel out of town as required for prolonged periods of time on short notice (Food and Accommodations are paid for by the company during travel)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $28.00-$39.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
