Reporting to the Manager of Parks Development and Operations, this position is responsible for assisting with the coordination of parks, trails, open space, streetscape and public realm design processes for the Parks Branch. As a Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the landscape enhancements within our community.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assist with detail design of public parks, trails, and streetscapes
- Participate in project meetings as required
- Updating Park Development Standards
- Assist with researching sector trends and issues and identifying best practices
- Provide day-to-day hands-on coordination, guidance and support for parks development processes, policies, practices and project initiatives to meet departmental operational needs and corporate service standards.
- Organize and maintain project folders and documents

**Rate of pay: $18.00/ hour
