Our company, Modus Enterprises Ltd., specializes in IKEA kitchen cabinet planning & installation as well as interior renovation. We have been in contract with IKEA Canada for over 25 years as their service provider for In-Home cabinet planning and Kitchen installations in BC and AB. We also offer interior renovation/general contracting service for clients who are looking for their home renovation. We are currently in the progress of expanding our services in Interior Design, providing our clients a true one start shop service, from design to execution.

We are looking for an experienced Interior designer/Project manager with minimum 5-7 years experience in single family/multi-family projects and have established relationships with outside suppliers to join our team.

**NCIDQ Certification is a plus but is not required.**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Lead the design process of renovation projects, from small kitchen and/or bathroom renovation to full house or multi-residential project. Ensuring completion from the business plan and design standards stage to construction completion and furnishing.
- Develop and present design concepts demonstrating a deep understanding of the single dwelling & multifamily industry and market trends.
- Ability to develop comprehensive drawing packages and prepare specification documents for
- Take an active role in design & renovation consultation meetings, fostering collaboration among various disciplines and driving projects forward while adhering to deadlines.
- Proactively familiarize oneself with each project during the development stage to inform design development decisions.
- Utilize strong space planning abilities to create code-compliant design and functional common area spaces that meet market demands.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in administering design-related tasks, such as compiling tender and construction documents, reviewing construction details, and handling floor plan reviews.
- Take initiative in solving complex design problems, both on paper and on-site, to execute the desired design vision.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior designers, offering guidance and coaching throughout projects.

**Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience**:

- **5-7 years of Interior Design industry experience with diverse project types**:

- **Interior Design training (drafting, construction detailing and space planning)**:

- **Proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads**:

- **Clear spoken and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of client base**:

- **Capable of managing a variety of projects and teams simultaneously**:

- **Extensive AutoCAD skills and knowledge of renovation/construction practices**:

- **Must have access to a vehicle**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $75,000.00 per year
