**The Role**

We have an immediate opening for a licensed mechanic. We are looking for an energetic self-starter who enjoys a team environment.

Our mechanics are responsible for performing the following on vehicles:

- MTO inspections,
- preventative maintenance,
- minor and major repairs,
- modifications and overhauls.

**Position Tasks & Activities**
- Determine extent of repair required and repair or replace defective parts
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance
- Perform preventative maintenance work
- Prepare accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment
- Inform supervisor of equipment failures; Report all safety violations
- Complete work orders for all repairs
- Analyse equipment malfunctions
- Clean, inspect, service and test equipment
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form
- Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security

**Education, Skills and Requirements**:

- Minimum one-year Heavy Equipment shop and field experience or equivalent
- Certificate or Qualification as a licensed 310T Mechanic
- Must be able to lift approximately 70lbs
- Must speak English clearly and write legibly
- Driving record check (abstract)

**Salary**: $24.00-$35.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- mechanical: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- 310T Truck & Coach Technician license (preferred)
