O’Hanlon Paving is looking for an experienced **Paving Foreman/woman **to work in a year-round, full-time capacity. The Paving Foreman/woman must be able to align with the company’s core purpose and core values. **Responsibilities: The Paving Foreman must be able to**:

- Lead and supervise the paving crew;
- Operate various kinds of paving equipment such as a paver, screed and roller;
- Under the supervision of Superintendent, completes all paving activities on company projects;
- Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis;
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Provide effective leadership and training to the paving crew;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Competences: The Paving Foreman ideally will possess**:

- Some experience running a Paver;
- Minimum 5 years experience in road construction industry;
- Through knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment and municipal road building industry;
- Prior experience and knowledge of paving process is required;
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience will be required;
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstract;
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure;
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions;
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision;
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends;
**Additional Information**:

- Must be able to lead crew culture with accountability.
- Must be able to nurture a culture of team-work including respectful and professional communication consistently.
- Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required.
