Floor Sheeter

**Overview**:
Darmac Framing Systems is a privately owned Canadian company that builds quality walls, floors, and trusses for residential construction in our prefabrication facility. We provide a positive work environment for our employees and excellent value for our customers. Darmac Framing Systems is looking to hire a Floor Sheeter to work in our facility based in Balzac, AB. The position will be reported directly to the Production Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout and requirements for floor sheeting work.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to cut, fit, and secure floor sheeting materials.
- Select appropriate flooring materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and comply with building codes.
- Assemble and install floor sheeting components according to design specifications and precise measurements.
- Assist with the installation of sheathing, insulation, and other underlayment materials as required.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project goals, maintain workflow, and adhere to deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly and waste is disposed of appropriately.
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, durability, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be able to write and speak in English.
- Proven experience in floor sheeting, carpentry, or related construction work.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for floor sheeting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to flooring projects.
- Strong understanding of materials, techniques, and building codes applicable to floor sheeting.
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure precise measurements and level installations.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, practices, and procedures in a construction or industrial setting.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods during installations.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and material calculations.
- Must have reliable transportation to the work site. Public transportation is not available.
- Adaptability to take on different tasks and priorities as needed in a fast-paced work environment.
