- The Coordinator, Home Support Programs—South Peace is responsible for the delivery, planning, organization and evaluation of the South Peace Home Support and Supported Independent Living Programs. This includes the overall operational management of clinical activities, education and quality improvement in these programs. The Coordinator is responsible for supervision of staff and establishing partnerships with Home and Community programs, service providers, community agencies and related organizations.
- Starting salary will be approximately from $72,445 to $90,556 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
- **Dawson Creek **Wide blue skies and the rolling foothills of the Northern Rockies surround Dawson Creek. The city is also known as the Mile Zero City, as it marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States. Dawson Creek has a population of approximately 12,500. It provides primary service to a population of approximately 20,000 and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region of 60,000. There are eleven elementary schools, one middle school and one secondary school. The Northern Lights College provides adult education. **Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in a health related field;
- Five (5) to seven (7) years recent related experience, including in a supervisory/leadership role;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Knowledge of current health care issues and trends.
- Comprehensive knowledge of home support and home support scheduling principles and best practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable acts and regulations pertaining to home support programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with all levels.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships, internally and externally, at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to plan, implement, operationalize an evaluate service programs.
- Effective financial and human resource management skills.
- Ability to effectively manage conflict.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve complex issues towards creative solutions.
- Ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction to others.
- Ability to organize, prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
- Proficiency in the Windows environment and demonstrated computer knowledge and competence.
- Knowledge of change management and proven ability to implement change effectively.
